Kansas City Chiefs Win Second Super Bowl in Four Years
The Kansas City Chiefs are champions of the National Football League after a thrilling 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII. The Chiefs trailed by 10 points with just over 12 minutes remaining but rallied to score 17 unanswered points and claim their second Super Bowl title in four years.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was named Super Bowl MVP, threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Skyy Moore with just seconds remaining. Running back Isiah Pacheco rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown, while wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster caught six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.
The Chiefs defense also played a pivotal role in the victory, forcing four turnovers, including two interceptions of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Defensive end Chris Jones had two sacks, while linebacker Nick Bolton had an interception and a fumble recovery.
The victory is the Chiefs' third Super Bowl title overall and their first since 2020. It is also the second Super Bowl title for head coach Andy Reid, who won his first title with the Eagles in 2018.
